According to Directorate of Fisheries, Vietnam fisheries production in the first 6 months of the year was estimated at 4,196.8 thousand tons, increased by 2.5% over the same period last year (in the second quarter of 2022, it reached 2,333.3 thousand tons, up 2.9%), including: Fish reached 3,044.4 thousand tons, up 1.7%; shrimp reached 520 thousand tons, up 9.4%; other marine products reached 632.4 thousand tons, up 1.2%.

Vietnam aquaculture production in the first 6 months of the year was estimated at 2,267.7 thousand tons, up 7.4% over the same period last year (in the second quarter of 2022 reached 1,279.7 thousand tons, up 9.2%), including: fish reached 1,552.8 thousand tons, up 6.5%; shrimp reached 448.4 thousand tons, up 11.3%; other marine products reached 266.5 thousand tons, up 5.8%. Pangasius output reached 772.5 thousand tons, up 11.2% over the same period last year; white leg shrimp production reached 299.7 thousand tons, up 16.3%; Black tiger shrimp production reached 117.9 thousand tons, up 2.5%.

Fishing production in the first six months of the year was estimated at 1,929.1 thousand tons, down 2.6% over the same period last year, of which: Fish reached 1,491.6 thousand tons, down 2.9%; shrimp reached 71.6 thousand tons, down 1.2%; other aquatic products reached 365.9 thousand tons, down 1.8%.
